Cool Button Designer

Developed by MRZ Media, a Colorado-based small company that specializes in multimedia software and web development, Cool Button Designer is an application meant to be used by web designers, graphic designers, and pretty much anyone else who wants an easy and efficient way of coming up with buttons. The Cool Button Designer application has all the features and settings you need to come up with nice looking buttons.

To get started with Cool Button Designer, you will first have to download a 12MB installation file. Run it, click through the setup wizard, and in no time at all, you’ll have Cool Button Designer up and running on your Windows-powered machine. All major editions of Windows, including 32 and 64-bit versions of Windows 7, are supported by Cool Button Designer.

The main part of the Cool Button Designer interface is taken up by the button you’re working on. Buttons for all the tools offered by the application are presented at the top. Click on Button Shape, for example, and a Button Shape floating window, that you can place anywhere on the Cool Button Designer's interface, will show up. The same happens for pretty much all the other buttons on the upper part of Cool Button Designer’s interface. Each time you click one, a floating window with the functionality associated to that button shows up.

When you launch Cool Button Designer, it asks you what sort of button you would like to create. You can choose between a classic style button, Aero style button, and Office 2007-2010 style button. Previews for all these button styles are presented to make your choice easier. After you pick a style, you are asked to name your button and select its size.

A preview of your button is displayed in the upper left hand corner of Cool Button Designer’s interface. You can, of course, put the preview anywhere else you want. It is time now to start clicking the buttons mentioned before and customize your button. You can add textures, adjust the border, play with the lighting, add icons, add text and hyperlinks, and more. When you’re done, you can use Cool Button Designer to generate HTML code, you can save the button as a template, and you can export the button.

Please note that Cool Button Designer is shareware. You will have to wait 10 seconds before the application launches, you will have to put up with a watermark on your button, and other trial limitations.
